Executive Directors

Bill Alexander CBE, Chairman
Bill joined the Clearview Traffic Group board as non executive Chairman in June 2006. Bill retired in November 2005 as chief executive of RWE Thames Water plc, the world’s third largest water company, where among his achievements was the successful integration of Thames Water into the RWE Group and the completion of the acquisition of American Water in 2003. Prior to joining Thames Water as head of engineering in 1989 he was formally head of engineering at British Coal. Bill is also non executive chairman of Xansa UK Limited, a leading outsourcing and technology company and a non executive director of both Invesco Perpetual and the CBI.  Bill is a Chartered Engineer a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering; Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers; Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy; Honorary Fellow CIWEM; Honorary DSc Cranfield University and Honorary DSc Reading University.

Kevin Adams, Chief Executive Officer
Kevin joined the Group in August 2007, previously having been CEO of a plc and has over 25 years experience in IT and in the last ten years Kevin has been involved with listing two companies and steering them through the IPO process both as CEO and non executive chairman. As CEO this has included responsibility for 14 acquisitions and becoming a global market leader with 1,600 plus staff, 28 offices and some $200m in revenues. Kevin’s experience and record of achievements means he is ideally suited to lead the ongoing development of the group as we continue to strengthen our position as a major player in the Intelligent Transport Systems sector.

Richard Colley, Group Finance Director
Richard joined the Group in October 2006, having spent the last seven years investing and successfully growing service and technology businesses in the transportation sector in Europe and South Africa. Prior to that he was a Corporate Finance Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers, advising on buy-outs and acquisitions and disposals. Richard has 25 years senior financial and management experience and is a chartered accountant having first qualified in the UK and subsequently in Canada.

Andrew Burton, Director 
Andrew founded Count On Us Ltd in 1987 from a single office in Basingstoke employing one other member of staff. Over the years he has grown the business through providing a high quality service to many satisfied clients and acquisitions so that today the company can boast 9 offices spread between the United Kingdom & Eire employing 100 full-time staff and thousands of temporary staff.  Prior to his career as Managing Director of Count On Us Andrew had worked for Marks & Spencer & British Home Stores in various Head Office functions.  Andrew has gained a wealth of experience in all areas of survey project management. 

Martin Rodgers, Sales and Marketing Director
Martin joined the group in September 2007 as Sales and Marketing Director having previously held various General, Business, Sales, Customer Service and Operational Management roles in the FTSE100, private and public sector predominantly focused in the road, rail and logistics environment.
Previous industries include the aerospace, construction materials, meteorological and utilities sectors where he has been successful at delivering commercial and people excellence by driving through business and performance management in the cultural and change management process.
He is professionally qualified in business, sales, marketing and people management, has a BSc (Honours) Degree in Applied Physics and is a member of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.

Non Executive Directors

Simon Hodgson
Simon brings with him 25 years in senior financial and commercial management experience gained in a number of organisations, the most prominent being as Financial Director of the highly successful Hurst Publishing Group, now called Trader Media.  Simon's qualifications include an MBA, as well as Chartered Secretary and Chartered Certified Accountant.
 
Nigel Howe
The majority of Nigel's career to date was in property management before joining John Madejski in 1995 when he took over as Chief Executive Officer of Reading FC.  Since then he has led the redevelopment of both the club's stadium and also its business management, and now Reading FC is widely regarded as one of the best managed clubs in the Football League.  Nigel is also a Director of a number of other businesses in which John Madejski has invested including BenhamGoodhead Print Group, Sackville Properties and the Ark Group.

Sales Team

Trevor Woodward, Proposals Manager
Trevor  joined the Clearview Traffic Group in February 2007. He has significant experience of technical authoring and bid writing from his time within the Highways Maintenance sector, where he worked on successful multi-million pound Term Maintenance contracts such as for Solihull Borough Council, and more recently Transport for London. He also has considerable experience of producing and managing sets of hardware- and software-related handbooks, manuals, information systems, and technical documents from working within the System Control and Data Acquisition industry. Combined with his earlier experience of working for Coventry University as an Information Designer, his skill set is both unique and ideally suited to managing bid proposals for all Clearview Traffic Group products. Trevor is degree qualified in Technical Communications.

Martin Roche, Systems Sales Manager
Martin Roche joined the Clearview Traffic Group in March 2007. He is responsible for managing major UK accounts and international system sales.  Martin has over 15 years of senior sales management experience in the traffic industry with Siemens Traffic Controls and Monitron International, having started his career in customer service management in the automotive industry. His wealth of experience includes delivering successful intelligent transport solutions for Local Authorities, the Highways Agency, Transport for London, Department for Transport, major consultants, road construction companies and government departments.

Engineering and Technology

Edwin Loverseed, Head of Engineering
Edwin joined the business in January 2005, and has an engineering and management background in professional electronic product design.  Prior to joining, he was engineering group manager at Tandberg Television.  Edwin has past successes leading the development of world-first equipment for digital broadcast television, broadband wireless access, and video on demand.  Edwin is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Technology Consultant 

Martin Dicks
Martin was the driving force behind the original Astucia product range and started the business back in 1989.  He is the inventor of the product range covering solar and hardwired studs, and the camera and detector studs.  Martin is recognised within the industry as one of the true visionaries in the field of intelligent road studs, and one of his many current roles is Chairman of the road stud committee of REMA, the Retro-reflective Equipment Manufacturers Association.  After gaining qualifications in electronics and mechanical engineering, Martin's early career was with the London Fire Service, serving for 10 years including involvement at major incidents such as the Kings Cross Tube Station Disaster.
