Weigh In Motion systems enable weighing and recording individual axle weights; measuring and recording spacing between axles; automatically determines vehicle total weight, individual wheel weights, individual axle weights, individual axle spacing, and centre of balance.
Clearview Traffics solution to Weigh In Motion (WIM) produces a flexible answer that can be used for either high precision Kistler quartz or standard piezoelectric sensors and is capable of outputting a vast array of data: vehicle length, speed, class, number of axles, axle weight, gross vehicle weight, axle spacing, headway, gap, direction, lane and volumetric count.
The Weigh In Motion system readily enables connectivity to components such as ANPR cameras, VMS signs and real-time data transfer via GPRS to provide a very flexible solution that will meet the needs of most WIM applications.
