Traffic light management is key to ensuring effective traffic flow. Traditional inductive loops used to detect traffic are generally reliable but require a lengthy and disruptive installation and replacement process.
The new Golden River wireless vehicle detection system uses in road mounted magnetometer sensors to detect the presence and movement of vehicles. The system provides a more reliable, low cost and easier to install alternative to the use of traditional inductive loops. It works with all Urban Traffic Control systems including System D, MOVA and SCOOT.
In road sensors wirelessly transmit data in real time via low power secure radio technology to a nearby access point which is fed into one or more local or remote traffic management controllers or systems using an interface card.
