Emergency Refuge Area Monitoring
Emergency refuge areas are situated on roads for use in emergency or breakdown only, they are located approximately every 800 metres and are separated from the main carriageway. These areas have sensors embedded in the road to alert the control centre that a vehicle has entered.
Clearview Traffic Group offers their M100 vehicle detection system to detect the presence of a vehicle in an emergency refuge area. The system will automatically alert the control centre that a vehicle has entered and they can then respond to this appropriately.
