The Marksman 420 represents a leap forward in the design of pneumatic tube traffic counters. It provides outstanding features, accuracy and capabilities in a small, light and robust unit.
By utilising high speed data processing capabilities, it is possible to time stamp and record every event that is detected. This means with the M420 that there is no need to define prior to the survey what speeds, classes or axle groups the device is recording. In fact even parameters like tube spacing, road layout, and many more can be modified after the survey is completed without the need to repeat the survey.
SIMPLE TO USE
The M420 has a high visibility four line LCD display that is used for configuration and management. This display can be used to confirm on site that the device is accurately collecting the data, without the need for any additional configuration tools (PDA or Laptop computer).
EASY DATA DOWNLOAD
In order to simplify the collection of data stored in the unit, the data can either be downloaded directly into a laptop via a standard USB cable or simply downloaded on to a USB flash drive (memory stick) and then you can walk away with your data a few seconds later. In order to ensure long, trouble free operation, the M420 contains a long life lithium battery that is not only very light compared to traditional lead gel cell batteries, but will power the unit for up to 10 years before it needs to be replaced. As the M420 has 8MB of memory built in, longer term surveys can be carried out. As an example on a road with 10,000 vehicles per day there is sufficient memory capacity to record data for over two months.
